Changing Font Size of whole report

Written by Mandy. Posted in Report Layout.

Apex Version: 4.2.0.00.27
Theme: 25

I have an Interactive Report that contains many columns, which I would like to display all on one page.

I have changed the column headers so that long ones break across 2 or more lines, but I am still having issues. Thus I changed the style of the font for this particular page so that it was slightly smaller (but still readable!)

  1. Navigate to your page
  2. Right-lick on the top-level node for that page (in Tree View) and click 'Edit'
  3. Scroll down to the CSS section, and in the Inline textarea, add the following:

.apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA th div {
font: bold 11px/14px "Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif !important;
}
.apexir_WORKSHEET_DATA td {
font: normal 11px/14px "Helvetica Neue",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif !important;
}

Comment Bubbles template explained

Written by Mandy. Posted in Report Layout.

In Template 25 (Blue Responsive) there is a Report Template called "Comment Bubbles" which you can apply to your report.

This is handy for notes that belong to a parent record, as well as useful for displaying audit information to users.

Enabling Network Services in Oracle 11g

Written by Mandy. Posted in General Application.

You create an APEX workspace, start building your app, and it's all going along nicely until you try to use the APEX_MAIL package, or try and configure connection to you LDAP for authentication.

If you do a bit of poking around, you may also come across this error when trying to send email notifications:

ORA-24247: network access denied by access control list (ACL)

or this error if trying to connect to LDAP for Authentication:

ORA-31204: DBMS_LDAP: PL/SQL - Invalid LDAP Session.
